Do you live or have kids that go to school in Bedford-Stuyvesant or North Crown Heights? Following the race to represent District 36 in the NYC Council?
Well don't miss this debate!
Candidates will be discussing their plans for education. Who are the candidates? Check out The Power Lever Project, the hub for information about the District 36 City Council race.
The 36th City Council District includes parts of four public Community School Districts (districts 13, 14, 16, and 17) that together represent the academic home to tens of thousands of our community's young people. Education is an issue of particular importance to the BMC membership, which includes parents and caregivers, teachers, school administrators, and other education stakeholders. It is a determining factor in social mobility, cultural enrichment, civic engagement, public safety, juvenile justice, gentrification and so many other issues that are on the minds of Central Brooklyn voters.
