True South Bookstore will be screening the rockumentary A Band Called Death this Sunday as part of our weekly fundraiser at 7 PM.
Background
In 1970s Detroit, three brothers started a band that nobody wanted to sign. But it wasn't because they couldn't play. They were inventing punk music - in a city ruled by Motown and disco. Forty years later, Death is getting the love they deserve.
Directed by Jeff Howlett and Mark Covino, the film made its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival last year, screening in competition, and continued to travel the film festival circuit through this year.
Seats available on a first come first served basis.
$5 donation at the door. Space is limited!
