True South Bookstore Final Screening: A Series of Short Films by Shaka King

For our final screening we will celebrate independent Black cinema by showing a few of Shaka King’s short films while he was a grad film student at NYU.

King is now making waves with his new movie NEWLYWEEDS; his first feature length film that explores a love triangle between a repo man, his psychedelic girlfriend and Mary Jane in Brooklyn. His shorts are equally as entertaining.
